Need Some Help?

How can I find my Alberta student loan number?

Your Alberta student loan number can be found on any letter from the Student Aid Alberta Service Centre (formerly Edulinx), on the subject line or the upper right corner. If you cannot find a copy of a letter from us, Contact Us.

Can I use the same username and password that I used to apply to Student Aid Alberta?

While we are working to streamline security access to online services, you will need to create another username and password to be able to manage your loan online.

What should I choose for my username?

Your username can contain both letters and numbers, and must be between 8 and 30 characters long. Make sure that it is easy to remember, since you will need it each time you sign on. If your first selection is already in use, we will generate additional suggestions for you.

What should I choose for my password?

Your password must be 8 characters long, and contain at least one upper case character, one lower case character and one number.

Keep your password secure and don't give it to anyone. You should choose a password that will be easy for you to remember, but hard for anyone else to guess. Do not pick your name, your address, or anything else that someone might be able to determine by looking at your identification.

I forgot my password. What can I do?

You can reset a new password, by following the simple steps listed in Forgot Your Password. You will be prompted to answer the three secret questions you selected when you registered for the Student Aid Alberta online loan services. If you answer your three secret questions correctly, you will be able to reset a new password.

How can I retrieve my username?

If you forget your username, you must reconfirm your identity by registering again to ensure that only you can access information about your Alberta student loan. Visit Register Now to get started.

The online system won't accept my username and password. What can I do?

You may make four attempts to register for access to our online loan services. If you don't succeed, you will be prevented from accessing the system. If you are locked out, Contact Us.

I signed on just before the hours of service ended. Why can't I view my Alberta student loan information?

Our online loan services are sometimes unavailable due to daily maintenance requirements. Even if you are still signed on when the hours of service end, your requests for information or updates may not be accepted. If you did not receive an acknowledgement notice, your changes were not accepted.

What if my browser doesn't have 128-bit encryption?
